Philosophy

I believe if you put into practice these four guidelines anything is possible. Anything!

What you give is what you get
More commonly known as the law of karma this statement definitely applies when training with me. Make no mistake you will sweat...a lot, but whether you sweat 100% effort or 75% effort is up to you. Give me your best every time, and you will reach your goals. If you put everything on the table and leave nothing behind I will be there to take you to your best body.

Love your body and you'll love your life
Your body is a miracle! Your blood pumps and feeds your lungs which breathe in oxygen and expel carbon dioxide without even a thought from you. However, how you think about your body greatly impacts your life. It doesn't matter how miraculous your nervous system is or that your cells regenerate without any effort, if you feel bad about how you look it will affect everything in your life. So sweat your way into a better body and you'll find that your outlook on life will shift. You will gain a new perspective, while losing pounds!

Love your life and you'll love your body
Let's face it, sometimes you're just not there. You are unable to love and accept your body where it's at, and feel like you are at a dead end, trust me I know this feeling. Start by making one motivated choice. Motivated choices are those you initially might not want to make but at the end of the day they fill you with a sense of pride. You're tired but you go to your workout anyway, you want ice cream but you feed your body healthy foods instead, rather than criticizing your body you bring positive aspects to your attention. The more motivated choices you make the better you will feel about your life and you will begin to notice your body fall in line. Say hello to your future buff biceps!

Life is in the journey, not the destination
Visualize yourself ready to climb a 10.000ft peak. When you crane your neck to look at how far you have to climb you will most likely be discouraged. It is important to take your steps one at a time and be aware of your small successes. Perhaps you finally did 10 push ups, or ran 1 mile without stopping, maybe you went an entire day eating well and skipped your late night snack binge. Whatever it is, stop and celebrate because when you do reach your end goal, and you will, these moments are the ones that get you there. Remember the story of the hare and the tortoise. The hare never even made it to the finish line. He was in such a rush he petered out. Slow and steady will get you there every time. Smell the roses along your run, it lessens the cramp in your side!
